Lip Buzzes!

The raspberries still haven't returned, but Connor is now doing lip buzzes (we may have a budding trombone player)!  You can tell he's having a great time and he continues to make us laugh!

Our New Arrival

Hello family and friends! We're hoping to use this blog as a way to share all the exciting things that are happening to our family these days. Connor is growing up so quickly and we want our family and friends to see him!

Our little sweetheart arrived on April 2, 2012.  He was 6 lbs 12 oz and 20 3/4 inches.  We were completely smitten from the start!  He's just perfect!

A great shot of new 'dad' and Connor at his first doctor's visit.  This outfit was the only thing we had that was small enough for him.  It was also the only outfit he wore out of the house for weeks.

A swaddled up sweetie!

Connor stayed in this pose for weeks.  We called him our little grasshopper.

Raspberries!!! (not the ones you eat)

Connor started blowing raspberries at 17 weeks.  He blew raspberries for nearly 3 days straight.  It was so cute.  He worked it into his 'speech' like it was just part of what he was telling us.  Then he stopped and we still haven't seen him blow any.  I'm so glad we got this video when we did.  I wanted to get another one, but I guess this one will have to do.

From two to three!

I think I'd better hurry and get everyone updated.  Connor is such a great baby, we just couldn't have been more blessed.  He's not a fussy baby and is smiley the majority of the time.  He started sleeping 7 hour stretches during the night at 7weeks and is now sleeping 9 1/2 hours a night at 20 weeks.  He only takes 50 minute naps, but I'll take it if it means I can sleep at night!  Connor loves to stand and have been practicing for quite a while now.  He can support his own weight, but his balance still needs some work.  He's still not the biggest fan of tummy-time, but he'll tolerate it at 5 minute intervals.  He'll chuckle at us all day long, but he rarely lets us hear him really laugh.  Oh and he's getting teeth!!!  4 1/2 months and he's already got his bottom two teeth coming in.  He has also doubled his birth weight already!  At his 4 month well baby he weighted 14 lbs and was 26 inches.  Below are some pictures to catch you up.

These were taken at 7 weeks old

This was the only way I could get Connor to take a nap for a few weeks.

Connor's first smile caught on camera!

Go Tigers!!! He didn't last the whole game, but with the help of Grandpa and Grandma Havens we made it to the 7th inning.  Pretty good for only 13 weeks old!

Connor always greets me with a huge smile when he wakes up.

First trip to the pool!

Handsome little dude (and I made the tie)

Our first week with Connor

Connor just seemed to fit right into our lives, like a puzzle piece we didn't even know wasn't there.  He was pretty quite right from the start.  The only time we heard from him was when he was hungry and that was only if I hadn't already woken him up (he'd sleep for 5 hours at a time sometime).
Such a sweet little sleeper.  Chris and I would just stand there and watch him sleep totally captivated.

Booties I made!!! and Chris didn't think they would fit him.

So tiny!
